A product designer by trade, an artist at heart, and builder by trait. A career started by selling paintings at thirteen and web, brand, and photography by sixteen. She has found space to thrive in high-challenge environments. Developing a deep desire to tell stories — through art, energy, and cultivating spaces (both digital and physical).
The first brief was “imagine you are filming a documentary”, and it never really stopped.
An internationally published photographer, raised by Chinese-Cambodian survivors of the Khmer Rouge. A return in 2023 to the country a family escaped forty years ago, photographing the children and grandparents who stay in the countryside while their parents share a room in an employer’s city home, sleeping on cots and visiting once a month. Highways less than twenty years old, wealthy kids sent to English school in the hope of studying abroad, everyone indoors through the lunchtime heat. Relatives spanning every class, and one idiom that kept surfacing: “wealthy ’til you’re blind”.
